A Nest for Them.
A Home for You.
Nest & Tail creates furniture-style dog crates designed to look intentional in the home and feel calm and secure for the dog.
Why we started
Wire crates do the job. But they do it loudly. They sit in the corner of the living room as a reminder that something practical had to win over something beautiful. Dog owners have been told, for too long, that that trade is acceptable.
We disagreed. A dog needs a space that feels calm, enclosed, and secure. A home needs furniture that belongs in it. Nest & Tail was built around the belief that a furniture-style dog crate should do both without asking you to choose between them.
The design philosophy
Every piece we make is built around three principles that most dog crate furniture gets wrong, or ignores entirely.
Proportions, silhouettes, and finishes drawn from real furniture, not adapted from wire crates. Each piece is designed to belong in the room, not just fit in it.
An enclosed den feel, intentional sightlines, and a secure daily routine. The structure a dog naturally responds to, inside something that works for the home.
Easy-clean surfaces, daily-use durability, and storage on select models. Dog crate furniture should hold up to the life you actually live, not just photograph well.
How our editions fit the home
Nest & Tail offers two core editions, each designed around a different home context and dog setup.
Built for one dog.
Sized for the room.
The Signature edition is taller and more compact, with a side-table presence that fits naturally beside a sofa or in a bedroom corner. It is furniture-style dog crate design for one dog that does not announce itself.
- Single dog setup
- Taller, compact silhouette
- Side-table or end-table presence
- Available in Modern White and Rustic Walnut
Built for two dogs.
Or one with more room.
The Estate edition is wider and lower, with a console or buffet presence that grounds a room rather than accenting it. This is double dog crate furniture designed for homes where two dogs share space, or one dog deserves more of it.
- Double dog or extra-room setup
- Wider, lower console silhouette
- Buffet or media console presence
- Available in Modern White and Rustic Walnut
Materials made for real homes
Furniture-style dog crates should hold up the way good furniture does. Every Nest & Tail piece is built with that standard in mind.
Panels and frames selected for a furniture-grade look and feel, not just structural function. The finish matters as much as the build.
Steel bar inserts provide structural integrity and security without dominating the visual design of the piece. The crate works. The furniture wins.
Finishes selected for day-to-day durability and simple cleaning. Because living with a dog is not a controlled environment.
A den, not a cage
A dog crate should feel like a den. Enclosed enough to feel secure. Open enough to feel comfortable. Nest & Tail furniture-style dog crates are designed around those instincts, not against them. The goal is a calm, familiar place the dog chooses to be in, inside something the room is proud to have.

A furniture-style dog crate is designed to read as a piece of furniture first. Not a modified wire crate. Not a pet product sitting in the room. A piece that belongs there.
Dog crate furniture blends with the room rather than interrupting it. That means it can sit beside a sofa, below a window, or along a wall without visual conflict.
An enclosed, den-like crate supports the instinct dogs have toward secure, defined spaces. Furniture-style dog crates deliver that without the harsh, open-bar feel of wire alternatives.
Dog crate furniture built to furniture standards lasts longer, looks better as it ages, and does not need to be hidden or replaced as the home evolves.
